REI 1440 Project – Celebrating every minute spent outside

Screen Shot 2013-01-10 at 3.20.39 PM

Creative and fun new experience by REI.

The concept is to celebrate every minute spent outside. Users submit photos with the place and time they were shot. REI then adds them to the site in chronological order by the minute.

The hope is to create a minute-by-minute timeline of a full 24 hours of outdoor experiences through photos.

It’s a fun idea with cool interface. It’s definitely worth checking out!

Beautiful photography of water. It’s amazing how much objects can change when looked at in unique ways.

Color photos of Nazi-occupied Poland, 1939-1940

A sobering collection of color photography from Nazi occupied Poland in 1939–1940. It sheds a different compassion and empathy on a well known time period.

A silver lining may be to think about how far we have come as a global society. Yes, we have a ways, a long ways to go but look back 70 years and compare it to today. There is a lot we can learn from those 70 years, hopefully we learn how to apply it to the next 70.
